“This sculpture follows the first silver sculpture I made in 2002 “Head over Heels” a trout skeleton cast in silver creating a sarcophagus for the skeleton. This time I have chosen a familiar food that almost every person can identify and will probably have in their kitchen, a tin of fish. I chose the mackerel tin because I love it’s shape and design especially when the lid is peeled back to reveal the innards, a bit like a tiny coffin for fish, packaged so as not to look too fishy for the diner to consider.” Abigail Fallis
