Rise is a crowd bearing an elevated form, in effect carrying the burden of the times we have lived through. Only as a group working together can the weight be lifted. The work is partly inspired by the Raising of Lazarus relief at Chichester Cathedral. Patricia's aim is to uplift the heart with pure abstraction and colour, conveying the universal human spirit, but specific to now.
