This lovely small two-part piece by Geoffrey Clarke is unique work from a small series of three 'awards' Clarke made in 1985. Using his signature method of carving polystyrene which is burnt out with the molten aluminium this work has the classic stamp of Clarke's wonderful refinement of line.
