In the artist’s note books,...Clarke’s Plateau is part of a series of assorted sized circular disc with variations of protruding shapes and forms on the surface of the work. In the artist’s note books, Clarke initially referred to this body of work as his ‘pizza’ series. Although the majority of the series are small, hand-held pieces, Clarke had intended the works to eventually be realized on a monumental scale.Provenance
