In 2006, Tebbenhoff was offered a scholarship to learn to carve marble at Studio Sem in Pietrasanta, Italy. An intense period followed where both her hands and brain learned a new language. Since then, marble often becomes the focus of her practice, with Tebbenhoff noting: "the seductive surfaces and beauty of the stone... gives me volume". 'Giocoliere' emphasises these features, with spiralling discs appearing to balance, whilst the surface of the marble hovers between opacity and translucency.
